driving through Windham in the Catskills, we missed the turn to Christman's Windham House, the location of 2004's Gallagher family reunion, a small way down the rode just past the townline of ashland, dad found an elavated driveway where he could turn around, as he was driving back out, a small white sports looking car that was going a little too fast turned the corner, dad couldn't turn quick enough and the white car plowed into the back tire on the drivers side, i was sitting on the passanger side and saw the car coming and braced myself as much as i could, as soon as the car hit i opened the door looked over at sue who was unconcious and told mom to go over to sue, she was already heading to her, sue regained conciousness after a few seconds, it was easy for mom to go over to her because she broke the window with her head when the car hit, the window next to her broke and fell backwards onto the other car when it hit, nick was sitting in the middle seat closer to the door and also saw the car coming and braced himself, however nick's glasses ended up outside the car, bent and a bit scratched, the residents of the house in front of the crash called an ambulance upon my instructions (me yelling "call an ambulance") we knew not to let sue move, compliments of all the Rescue 911 we watched a few years ago. she kept saying her neck and her head hurt, when the ambulance got there they put sue on a gerny, before they took her away i got her bunny out of the car and yelled at mom to go with her.

after sue left wth mom, they made dad, nick and i get into another ambulance and take our blood pressue and vitals, while we were in the ambulance, a tow truck took our car, and a piece of shit police officer gave my dad a ticket, the ambulance took us to the hotel, but all of our stuff including my dad's license was in the car so the emt told mrs. christman that we were who we said we were and she was sympathetic and gave us the key to our room and told us we could go settle down as long as we needed. uncle john and aunt lauren were in the lobby as we arrived and saw our teary faces and the emt and knew something was wrong but didn't ask too many questions.

this all happened from about 12 to 1, when we got to our room, dad tried calling a string of people. at around three, mom called to say that sue was sleeping and the results from her catscan results would come soon, uncle john and aunt lauren drove nick and i to the garage where our car was, to get our luggage and anything we would like to hold on to that was put there in the past 5 years we've had it. it was a wierd experience seeing our car with no windows and the frame bent in and underneath, with the plastic interior and cupholders cracked and broken.

my grandma, aunt annie, and dad went up to albany to go see sue and mom and get a rental car at the airport, albany is an hour and a quarter drive from windham keep in mind.

the next day we went to go visit sue, she said the doctor said she may need a halo, for those of you who don't know the Halo is when they stick nails into your head and shoulders to immobilize the neck, however in the following days the doctor recommended the new Pinless Halo, which is what she now has.

dr.karl, didn't arrive at the hospital until 6 o clock on the 18th, which is when he released sue, we got back home at 11, dad returned the rental car on thursday, and pat church allowed us to use her white volvo sudan until we can purchase our own vehicle.
