For the very first time in my life, I got hit by motor cycle. It happened this Monday, 20 February 2012 (yes, right at the birthday of our cool Go Morita). As usual I went to campus riding my bicycle. That day I have to do presentation in class at 07.30 AM so I left my boarding house around 06.50 AM. The motor cycle hit me when I was crossing street about 20 meters from my campus. I'm sure before I crossed the street I saw motor cycle far enough for me to cross the street and that motor cycle was giving sign that it would turn right which is in accordance with my direction so it won't hit me. But I think the motor cycle which hit me was behind the motor cycle I saw. I got hit when I'm right in front of the road separator.
And I was thinking in that split second, "Oh God, I being hit". Then all of sudden I was lying on the road and think "Oh God, I must not fall, but I got hit and be caromed." I turn my head to the left and I saw a black Alphard and my bag pack also lying on the ground and think "Oh God, I bring laptop for presentation today." I turn my head to the right and saw my drinking bottle rolling so fast on the street. I got up and I felt pain in my lower back NEAR THE PLACE I GOT SURGERY at August 2010. And I just mumble "Oh my God! Oh my God!" because last December I took an X-Ray photo of my back and found out a pair of screw attached to my backbone to tighten the pen broke inside my bone AND NOW I GOT HIT AND IT HURTS NEAR THERE. I was so confused that when the man who hit me and the security asked me whether I got any injury so I could only say, "I'm fine. Just a little hurt but it's fine. I have to go." I know it is stupid, but what can I say? Something like "Sir, I got backbone surgery about a year ago and now because the hit it got hurt"??? Everything is going to be absolutely complicated if I said so, I'm out of town, far from my parents, all alone in this city, and I concerned about my presentation too.
In my opinion he was day dreaming so he didn't pay attention to the road, because if he wanted to go straight he must took a bit more to the left and pass my back (instead of hit my front wheel) because there is traffic roundabout which make him had to turn left. Beside that, half of the road near the road separator usually closed by some kind of iron bars (but I don't remember whether it closed or not that day). So this accident is 100% not my fault, I have being careful. Even the security asked him, "Sir, you saw her crossing street right?" And he just smile and said "Yes I was, I brake my motor but it didn't work." What a man. Well, at least he didn't just ran away. That's good enough for me.
But, don't worry. I have checked my backbone condition by taking another X-Ray (which is actually because of the screw broke I scheduled to get it this March anyway) and everything's just like the last X Ray I got before. There are no extra injury in my backbone. I just got many bruises all over my body, especially left leg, back, and a little at the right arm. My laptop also fine. Everything is because of God's miracle you know, because it is a very dangerous situation for my condition. And if I think about it more, I didn't fell upon my bag pack is also a miracle because if I did, my laptop and my mobile phone will crush into pieces. I really can't imagine how my bag pack could loose my right hand but still attached by my left hand in that kind of situation. God's grace over me is marvelous. I will never ever leave Him in my entire life whatever happened.
