summary: Noah put a hand on either side of Luke’s face, thumb slowly stroking over his cheekbones. He looked right into Luke’s eyes, deep and brown - and slid his hands down to Luke’s chest, gently pushing him away.
disclaimer: Characters and situations belong to P & G, CBS, and many others, I’m sure. Not to be suing; I’m just playing around.
notes: 1. I’d normally call this an ‘episode tag’ or an ‘episode coda,’ but I’m not sure if those are the correct terms for soap opera fanfic.
2. Title from “This Moment” by Melissa Etheridge
3. This picks up right where the Luke/Noah part of today’s (10-24-07) episode of ATWT left off; a continuation? I dunno. Anyhow. Have some fic.

Luke skimmed his fingers across Noah’s face. “I’m glad you stopped over.”
“So am I.” Noah’s smile split into a grin as he watched Luke try - and fail - to stifle a huge yawn. “But it sounds like you’re tired.”
“Aww,” Luke said, reaching over to grab onto Noah’s hand again. “I don’t want you to leave yet.”
A small, tingling bubble of feeling rose up in Noah’s chest at those words. “Neither do I,” he admitted, leaning in and resting his forehead against Luke’s. It’d felt absolutely wonderful the first time they’d touched like that, and Noah had been wondering if it’d feel just as good if he did it again.
It did. He let out the smallest of sighs and touched his nose to Luke’s. “It’s kind of late, and you’ve got physical therapy early tomorrow.”
“Yeah,” Luke said, the whisper-softness of his voice exactly matching the touch of his fingers on the back of Noah’s neck.
I want to kiss him so badly raced across Noah’s mind, with a delighted hey, wait; I can kiss him right on its heels.
Noah put a hand on either side of Luke’s face, thumb slowly stroking over his cheekbones. He looked right into Luke’s eyes, deep and brown - and slid his hands down to Luke’s chest, gently pushing him away.
Noah watched as the tenderness and affection in Luke’s eyes melted away into disappointment. “Noah,” Luke murmured. “What is it?”
The words kind of clunked and rattled around in Noah’s brain for a second. “I wanted to - I was going to - kiss you goodbye.”
Luke’s smile was hesitant. “You were going to? Or are?”
“Um,” Noah said, his hands restless, finally settling on his own knees. “Was, I think. Because maybe I shouldn’t.”
Luke’s eyes narrowed slightly. “Why not?”
Noah’s guts tightened up. Honest, he reminded himself. Show him that he can trust you. Be honest with him. “Lots of reasons.”
“You feel like sharing any of them?”
Noah raised a hand to his forehead, rubbing over the spot where he and Luke had been touching moments ago. “Well, um. Because. I’m not sure why I want to kiss you.”
Luke’s eyes went even narrower. He tilted his head to the side, and Noah couldn’t help the little laugh that slipped out. “I mean, I know that I want to, and I know why,” he said, stressing the last word. “But maybe - maybe it’s just - me being selfish?”
“How do you figure?”
Noah shrugged, feeling the hot flush of embarrassment start to creep up his neck. “Because I’m. You know....” He let his words trail off.
Luke snorted, amusement sparkling in his eyes. “Horny?”
The flush raced all the way up Noah’s neck and over his face. He bit his lip and looked down at his shoes.
“Hey,” Luke said gently. “Hey. Look at me, man.” Noah let Luke’s index finger push his head upright. “No - look at me,” Luke insisted, waiting for Noah to look him in the eyes.
“Noah,” he said. “It’s okay for you to feel that. It’s okay.”
“But you - it’s not fair - you can’t,” Noah said, frustration bleeding through his voice.
Luke shook the finger under Noah’s chin, making his entire head wiggle. “Noah. Just because I can’t feel things...there,” he said, gesturing down toward his lap. “It doesn’t mean I don’t get those kinds of feelings at all.”
“Really?” Noah asked softly.
“Really,” Luke said. “So it’s not using me, or whatever you’re thinking, if you want to kiss me goodbye.” Noah watched as a fascinating shade of pink made its way up the sides of Luke’s face. “And. I. I really want you to.”
Noah took Luke’s hand in his and pressed a kiss to his knuckles. “Okay, then,” he whispered, and brought his other hand up to caress the back of Luke’s neck.
They leaned closer to one another, taking a moment to enjoy the anticipation. Then Luke pressed his mouth to Noah’s and brought his free hand up to rest on Noah’s chest, right over his heart.
The floor might have tipped a little - or maybe it was the whole world - but Noah didn’t want to let go in order to check. He kept running his fingers back and forth over the short hairs on the back of Luke’s neck, tasting his mouth and letting Luke learn the taste of his.
Noah heard the tiny moan that escaped from Luke’s throat, felt it vibrate over his own lips, and opened his mouth in response. Luke made another noise and angled his face more, licking over Noah’s lips and teeth and into his mouth, rubbing his hand up and down Noah’s chest.
They broke apart for a second, only long enough to catch their breath. Then they were kissing again, tracing each other’s lips with their tongues, gentle touches to faces and throats and shoulders. Luke let the hand over Noah’s heart drop down a few inches, thumb rubbing back and forth in little swipes.
Noah reached up and grabbed Luke’s hand, breathing heavily. “Luke,” he said. “God. Luke.” He pulled him in for a short, fierce kiss, then sat back and just let himself look.
Luke was flushed, too, and his chest was rising and falling just as hard as Noah’s. His eyes were glassy, his lips swelled and reddened. If Noah had needed to put a name to the expression on Luke’s face, he’d have had a tough time picking between “delight” and “lust.”
“Wow,” Luke exhaled softly. Slowly, he brought his hand up and placed his fingers on Noah’s lips.
Noah grinned. “Yeah.”
Tires crunched their way across the gravel, announcing someone else’s arrival at the farm. “Good timing,” Luke smiled.
“Yeah,” Noah said again. “I better get going.”
Luke watched as Noah stood up, letting his eyes drop to the noticeable bulge in the front of his jeans. Noah cracked a grin right back at Luke, then shifted his hips to adjust things more comfortably.
“See you tomorrow?”
Noah looked at his boyfriend and nodded. “I can’t wait.”
