1. I can make better paper airplanes than most of the boys I know.
2. I hate peanut butter sandwiches, but I love peanut butter cookies.
3. I want all my kids to be incredibly popular, though I know that has nothing to do with how happy they are, or with their inherent worth as human beings.
4. I like to read Jean Auel’s “Clan of the Cave Bear” series, even though it’s not terribly well-written. Oh, and I always skip the smutty parts, because they’re soooo bad.
5. I graduated from college eleven years ago, and there are still nights when I have the nagging feeling I ought to be doing my homework.
6. I think cookie dough ice cream is revolting.
7. I often wish I could have a cat. (Allergies make this impossible.)
8. Sometimes I worry that the whole reason I homeschool my kids is because I just don’t like running on other people’s schedules.
9. If I’m at the grocery store for only one or two things, I still have to walk up and down every single aisle.
10. My biggest irrational, trivial worry is that my feet will end up looking just like my grandmother’s.
11. If I could perform any one spell from the Potterverse, it would be “silencio.” And yes, I’d use it on the kids.
12. I’ve decided that if I ever meet Tom Welling or Michael Rosenbaum, I’ll have to pretend that I don’t watch Smallville.
13. I don’t get anything done in a day unless I make a list of what has to be accomplished.
14. I can’t wear contact lenses anymore because my eyes are too dry.
15. I enjoy watching my dog rip up sheets of paper.
16. I wish I could get a job where all I’d do is read stories out loud.
17. I’ve always wanted to dress up as the Evil Queen from Snow White for Halloween.
18. My favorite shape is an oval.
19. I honestly and sincerely believe that Ernie (from Sesame Street) is a sadistic bastard, and that Bert deserves better.
20. I cried when I heard that Mr. Rogers had died.
