You're awesome. No, really! I mean it! You're awesome! I've requested some fairly obscure things, and if you managed to get matched to me, well then. We should probably be friends. And that starts with me telling you that you're awesome.
So, let's start with some general things. First, I'm pretty easy to please. I'm going to give you a lot of thoughts about my current fandom choices, but if you have a great idea that doesn't quite fit, that's okay. Do what you will. I think I'm going to end up pretty darn excited anyway.
But let's start with my dislikes, just to get those out of the way. I not really a fan of character death, torture, whump!fic, non-con, incest, abuse, mpreg, de-aging, genderswap, abuse, or things like that. I just generally like my heroes acting like heroes.
I think the most important thing for me is characterization. That being said, it doesn’t mean it has to be a character driven piece, just that the way the characters act in the fic should be true to the way they would react in the show / vid / book. Of course, there’s a LOT to play with for the youtube vid -- it’s pretty open.
I have some favourite tropes that you could include or not -- they don’t work with all the prompts, but it shows the kind of person I am. I think that secret relationships are pretty much the most fun thing ever. I love when the characters are undercover, and have to act in a way that they don’t usually, or have to pretend to be a couple. I love silly situations that have the characters grasping at straws to establish normality, or yelling matching that end up in revelations or telling of secrets. And I love time travel. I’m a big geek, so if it fits with the Journeyman prompt, I really love talk of how changing things impacts the future, time travel paradoxes, and time travel theory.
I love witty banter, flirting, sarcasm, and snark, (as long as it fits with the characters). I prefer plot to porn, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like the NC-17 stuff! It’s just that I want there to be a reason for it, not just random generic sex where you could interchange the names and not notice the difference. I like there to be a purpose for it in the story. I prefer canon couples to not, but find myself shipping f/f pairings quite often. In general, I don't usually get a lot of the m/m pairings that are popular.
I like character driven fic, plot driven fic, fluffy stuff, drama ridden stuff... really, I like most things. I’d say to stay away from BIG AU stuff or genre fusions that I haven’t mentioned here. I’m not a fan of crack!fic either. I love post-eps and other POV fics, as well as what-if fics and future fics.
In general, I’ll probably be very happy with whatever you give me. I’m easy to please. And really, fic in ANY of these fandoms are sure to please.
I don’t have much up here on my journal (both, I don’t post very much, and I don’t leave much that I DO post unlocked) but feel free to poke around. I’m ellabell on AO3, laurabellbee on twitter, and laurabellbee at tumblr... but I actually don’t have anything posted there yet. One day. One day I will start posting stuff and reblogging. It’ll mostly be about Leverage and Castle when I do.

This is possibly one of the most beautiful things I've seen, ever, and I need to know more. Who are they? What happened between them, or is happening in their lives to cause both such happiness and pain? There's an accompanying video linked in the youtube notes on the making of the video, and provides some of the artist's inspiration, which I found really interesting too.
But mostly, I just want MORE.

Journeyman
I am fascinated by Katie. I think that she's trying so hard to hold her family together, and I love her loyalty and her strength, even when it starts to fray / break down at the edges. Yet, while I prefer Dan / Katie, I appreciate Livia too, and think that there is so much more to her. I love the woman-out-of-time emotions, how she had to go back to the past after getting accustomed to the future. I'd love to see some of Livia's life, or maybe bits and pieces of her in her own time, maybe with Henry and him figuring out some of her past. Maybe Dan meets Henry, or interacts with him in some way. I really like seeing people from the two times interact, maybe Livia in the current with Katie and/or Zack. Or Katie somehow gets pulled with him to the past at some point. I like Jack / Theresa too, just not as the main focus.
There are LOTS of places to go with this. I love time travel, talk of time travel, paradoxes, time loops, etc.
I prefer plot to porn and in this fandom, especially with how many places there are to go with the characterization and the plot.
Gallagher Girls
I'd love to see some sort of future fic, something from after highschool graduation and after The Circle has been brought down. I'm most curious about Macey. I think that it would be hardest for her to transition to the spy world because she IS still famous, and so her missions / future will be different than everyone else's. Like, she's probably expected to go to college, and stay in the public eye, plus she was/may still be dating Preston, who is also probably still somewhat famous.
I think that her friendship with Abby is one of the most important in the series, and the most underdeveloped. I would LOVE to see Abby as her handler / helping her through whatever she is doing that is different than Bex and Cammie.
Alternatively, I also love the sister dynamic of Abby and Rachel, maybe seeing where the Joe Solomon story goes after The Circle is finished, maybe them interacting with Townsend or something.
I prefer plot to porn and in this fandom, het or gen to slash, unless it's for a mission is done in a way that stays true to the characters. Being in-character is one of the most important parts for me. (and no Abby/Rachel incest, please... though most other match ups are fine... actually, I'm suddenly into the idea of Macey/Abby... but let's stick with my original prompt. Unless you want to write that. Because that's cool too.)
So, even though I’ve requested Macey, Abby, Rachel, and Joe, all of those characters don’t NEED to be in the fic, think of it more as an either or. Either way, I’m sure if you write something from this fandom, I’ll be happy.
