Since about october I've been working in this tiny field office about an hour from home. I don't mind the drive, and I get paid for my driving time PLUS I get a food allowance for not being at my home office, so I' pretty happy with the deal. I mean, I miss a lot of my friends from the home office, but overall, I'm cool with it.
But I don't have a key for the satellite office. And today, for the first time, EVERYONE else is in the field, and I'm stuck, sitting in my truck, outside the gate, waiting for some to come let me in. Sigh.
I guess I don't mind, I just really wished I remembered to bring my e-reader with me today, or that textbook I'm supposed to be studying was in my truck instead of locked inside my office. Or that I had charged my phone beyond what it will take to post this message. Or that I just decided to stay home when I woke up with this headache.
At least it's nice out. I'll just spend the next 30 minutes appreciating the scenery.
