Gold from Manitoba!
Jon Montgomery is pretty much awesome in every way. The best part? I mean, other than winning a gold medal in skeleton and being from my province in a town that I visit a lot?
On his stroll to his interview with CTV, someone handed him a pitcher of beer and he was drinking it as he signed autographs, posed for pictures, and gave high-fives. He's a super laid back guy with scruffy facial hair and wearing a toque... I doesn't get much more Canadian than that.
Did you guys see Shaun White on Oprah? I didn't, but I saw a clip, and everyone got the Canadian Olympic red mittens! And he was pretty unreal. The things he does... it's unreal.
I was at the bus stop yesterday with 30 other people, and EVERYONE at the bus stop was wearing the mittens. I wish I had a camera.
I should take a picture of me in all my Olympic gear. ;)
But in the mean time,
ETA: I finally bit the bullet and bought more icons so that I could stalk up on Olympics ones, and there are some GREAT ones out there. Just stayin'.
