small town life. I understand why people drink.

So, I'm in a small town now, 2.5 hours away from home, and working 12 hour days. Last week I worked 6 days. It looks like this week we're going to get Saturday off, so that's awesome, but still. It makes for looooong weeks. The first week there were some speed bumps in construction, and I'm the bad guy that has to tell them that they're either ( Read more... )

It sounds depressing. People always say traveling for business is.

I'm glad you at least found some happy entertainment -- it sounds like you're having a great time watching Alias again. I totally get that falling out with shows because you liked your own story better. That's happened to me before.

I feel like we all need to send you care packages or something.

I was going to ask people to send me DVDs of their favourite show that I'm not watching... but I've got a list of things I want to watch.

It's... it's not soooo bad. At least not yet. Give me a few more weeks. Then I'll really let you know.

Well, it sounds like a tough job and I'm sorry you have to be away from home for so long.

I grew up in a small town and you don't have to tell me that there is nothing much to do in them. DVDs are a good way to go - they may just save your sanity!

I can't imagine growing up in a small town. It's nice here, but only to visit. I need to live somewhere that has an international airport.

The DVDs are helping. Reading fanfic fills up the rest.

I was just going to e-mail you to see how you are doing. Managing would be a good way to describe it.

1 in 5! I really loved the first two seasons of Alias, but could not get on board in S3. I had my own idea with the 2 year jump should have gone and could not reconcile what they chose to focus on instead.

Now that you have internet, you can feel a bit more connected to the real world.

Hahaha, I don't think LJ is the same as the real world. :). But I like the way you think.

Welcome to my life in a rural town, where you're lucky if there is a single place open after 8pm. *g*
