A new window overlooking the net
Been a while since I updated, partially because I could be the laziest shit on the planet, partly becuse I haven't had a shitload of interesting things going on. Regardless.. updating now.
I spent the first week of December in Washington DC at the SANS CDI East conference, not a bad gig.. classes were long. pretty much 9 till 9 with breaks for lunch and dinner of course, but when the day was over there wasn't a shitload of time to go and do anything (other than drink of course, which was done with reckless abandon); I did manage to make it out to meet a few other City of Heroes players while I was in the area though, it was good to put faces to the names. The course itself was actually really good, it was on digital forensic investigation; which encompasses everything form data recovery techniques to incident response and timeline generation. It was taught by Rob Lee who is a leader in the field and did a bang up job teaching the course so I'm not complaining.
In other news.. got a smoking deal on a 20" flat panel from dell (~$500!) and coupled with the other one and I was able to reorganize the old office..

also... congrats to nebel on her recent engagement, don't let the dogs (or your family) drag you down girl you're intelligent, amazing and beautiful. You have great things ahead of you.
