Charles P Regenye
61, of brick, died Saturday, Oct. 25, at home.
He was employed at Rexell, Inc. in Lakewood for the past five years. He was in there branches of the military: The Navy, Marine Corps and the Air Force. He served during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962; in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968, and most recently, in Desert Storm, stationed at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He retired as a master sergeant in 1999. He was a decorated noncommissioned officer, and his family and friends were extremely proud of him. Born in Bayonne, he lived in Iselin, Jacksonville NC, and Avenel before moving to Brick in 1975.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mildred and Charles S Regenye, in 1988 and 1997, respectively. Surviving are his wife, Gail; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Poultney of Warren, Coreen and Robert Mellet of Iselin, and Cathy and John Witt of Brick; a brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Cathy Regenye of Plainfield; two sons and daughters-in law, Christopher and Kimberly Regenye of Brick, Cary and Samantha Regenye of Natic, Mass.; a grandson, Conner Breck Regenye of Brick; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends of the military and citizens band radio.
