if i had an ice cream cone for everytime i had bad luck, id be fat(ter)
overall this weekend would rate about a 6: nothing extremely great or horrible happened, although i did have some bad luck, but since i went to mongolian bbq today i am adding a few bonus points. ok recap time:
well everyone knows that at msu the weekend starts on thursday. however, this thursday, for the first time since i've been here, i decided to stay in and be productive. it took me until about 12 to realize how stupid i was to think i'd actually get something done. so i went over to pam's and we did the thursday thing. free alcohol+broken fire extinguisher+street tennis+TB+seeing yet another ATLer made it a good night. on to friday....
so friday i had a change of plans, instead of joe coming to see me i would have to venture out to uofm(ewww) since he had lacrosse practice. ok, sure im poor and cant really afford the gas but whatever hes worth it. so after i make the journey (a 10 min walk) down to the trusty White Fang i realize i forgot my car keys and have to walk all the way back. to make it even more of a pain, the train comes along and crosses my path(how dare it!), and i have to wait an additional 5 minutes for it to pass. then once it passes the traffic is horrible and it takes me another 5 min to cross the street. so i had just wasted a half hour of my life - AWESOME! so i get the keys and decide i'll ride my bike back to my car because i've wasted enough time and want to leave already. as i leave the building it starts raining. YES! could this get any better? if you guessed yes then you are correct. my bike chain falls off and when i jumped off to fix it my tight jeans did not cooperate and they ripped. but hey it's not like they were $70 dry-clean only guess jeans that i had gotten as an xmas present or anything... so then i finally get the car and evonne and i load all our stuff into it. luckly i remembered my cds and was looking forward to relaxing to some good music. but no, my luck did not think that was a good idea, so of course my cd player did not have batteries. so i was left with no alternative besides (yuck) the radio. joe you better appreciate all the havoc i went through to see you!
saturday my bad luck decided to pay a second visit on my way home from michigan. its about an hour drive from aa to the best school on earth but of course i miss my exit because i was talking on the phone and went a half hour out of my way. but its not like im a college student with tons of work/studying to do or anything. obviously i love wasting my time! wow im in ultra-sarcastic mode today. odd.
today (sunday) renewed my spirits because the mother came to visit and took me on a shopping trip. i got all sorts of goodies such as sweatshirts, soup, highlighters, razor blades, conditioner, ravioli and socks. Also she took me out to eat at the restaurant of my choice. you all better know what that is, but if you don't refer to the first paragraph. also, i got updated on all of the family gossip. turns out 3 couples we know are getting divorced - crazy i tell you! i swear, it seems like no one stays together these days, makes me not even want to get married. oh well, i have a lot of time to contemplate the subject. maybe i will move somewhere where im allowed to have multiple husbands. that would be cool. when i annoyed with one i would just hang out with the other one. plus think of all the presents id get on holidays!
