I put in my two weeks' notice at the bowl on Monday. Why? Well, because that job fucking sucks. All the rationalization I've done about my time there has been a waste of my time. The truth is that my job there was probably among the worst in the history of employment. I was given the responsibilities of an assistant manager and the pay of an entry-level monkey. Not to mention all the shit I had to take from my bosses, my coworkers, the customers, and pretty much everyone on the face of the planet, every day of my life. I'm glad I'm leaving.
Boston in about a month and a week. I'm stoked. I think I have a place set up in Brookline, which is a mostly Jewish suburb. I mailed my first tuition payment off yesterday, so I'm on my way to musical education, I suppose. Hell of exciting.
And also, everything is fucked up, but at least it's fucked up in a slightly less obvious way now. I can get through my days without actively thinking about how fucked up everything is constantly. Optimism? Only because I'm ignoring my pessimism.
