Oooh. Thanks so much for this awesome account! Yours is the first account I've heard of the Belgian Project Burn, and it thrills me so to hear that they actually burned that thing. It must have been apocalyptic!! You make me wish I was there!
The Aeon-Flux sculptures you're referring to are the huge iron female statues, yes?
yay, glad you enjoyed reading it! the belgian burn was incredibly apocalyptic, i know you would have loved it. :)
while i loved those large metal statues as well, those arent the ones i was referring to... these were small, small enough to sit on tables. they were crazy, perspective pieces, quite awesome. i know i have the artists website somewhere, and when i find it, i will pass it on to you.
*hysterical laughing* the tramp metal song - i totally forgot, but, FUCK YEAH!
oh and the rock formations, that's the one i forgot! a nice memory.
mckenna speeches: not only was it just up the street from us but we found it just hours after the last speech on the last day. also: it was named only 1 letter off from the other place we kept looking for it and it was NOT listed in the damn directory. hmmph.
great list liz! i will have to steal some of these and revamp mine.
also - thanks for going with me, it was a splendid week.
i know there is more that we are forgetting. it was such an amazing week, i wish i could remember every little thing. but the overall feeling i felt while out there is sticking with me, and that makes me happy. :)
thanks for being my companion. it really was splendid! now time to start prepping for next year, hee heeeee!
