weekend/review/time
friday- spent at home with justinbird. conversations. sleeeep.
saturday- met up with jackie for chocolate milk and carousel rides. i sat on the large rooster. we then picked up amy and her new garlic plant, and went to antica for dinner. i had the sirloin steak with arugula and potatoes, which was just alright, and a very excellent panna cotta for dessert. we then went to see the hills have eyes, which was ridiculously horrifying. we were seriously shaken up, and immediately high tailed it into the next theatre, which was showing failure to launch, to calm down and absorb something less disturbing. it was delightfully awful, and did not involve any rapes or killings. as the credits rolled, we were still on edge and death lookout. so we went into another theatre to see the end of aquamarine, which seemed to be some teen movie about a mermaid. after 5 hours in the theatre, we decided we were ready to venture back out into the world. we then went to the ha-ra on geary for some brews and talked to the old bartender about smoking on airplanes. went home and read until justinbird came home from the blue cube, where he was doing visuals for cdatakill.
sunday- slept in and then wandered down to this charming cafe on polk street, where we discussed random things over croissants, madelines, tartines, and hot cocoa. went grocery shopping, came home and cooked a dinner of two types of ravioli with pesto sauce, salad with cherry tomatoes and balsalmic vinagrette, spicy tomato soup, garlic bread, and wine. ate at my little blue table with a varied soundtrack featuring billie holiday to bauhaus to sirius isness. we then climbed into bed to watch scarface, one of my favorite flicks, which justin had never seen. it was fucking awesome. the world is mine, muahahaha. ahem. yes.
we dined at chaya last night. agadashi tofu, vegetable tempura, gyoza, miso soup, eggplant rolls, avocado tempura rolls, inari, beer, sake, OH YEAH. happy times. then went to animate where justin played a great set and i danced until my legs hurt.
21 more minutes of work. then going to nicks crispy tacos with my mom.
