Oh wow, yet another awesome Roger/Rafa fic has spawned from Wimbledon! :D And because I’ve been giving everyone epic comments lately, here’s one for you...

This was great. There is something in the way that they fall from talking into sex that is just so natural, like I can actually imagine it happening. It’s all the built up pressure and frustration and whirl of other emotions that just comes pouring out of them when they’re together. One gets the impression that there have been encounters like this between them before, many times or maybe only once. The excitement of a new experience between them seems to reamain even when they’ve done it before.

You captured a lot of tenderness in the sex scene, I guess mostly from Rafa in the description of his body and his being in control. I think putting him ‘on top’ makes good use of his quiet confidence and control.

And now picking out certain bits... I like these lines a lot:

Rafa is confident, Roger knows. Rafa knows who he is, what he can do, and settles for nothing less than everything he wants.
- That’s so wonderfully Rafa, in a way that he isn’t always shown. I really agreed with it.

“You always are - pride. You do not bend, you do not break.”

“Today,” he gasps, flushing with need and remembered humiliation, still fresh. “Today I…”

“No,” Rafa says, and his other hand moves to Roger’s hip as he leans closer, so close Roger can see the sweat bead on Rafa’s forehead. “You stand, and you watch. You accept. Is not break, Roger. This I think I learn from you.”
- The way they interact even during sex is so very real. Rafa is so human and lovely. It seems to me that he is proud of Roger, and trying to make Rogi see this. This is also apparent in the fact that he is in charge sexually, which is another method of comfort and reassurance really, as well as being an exploration of their emotions and how they click.
