Got back from Alexandria/DC today. Really good times. The recap, abridged:
Tuesday arrived in Alexandria around 3:15, went to Juliana's bridesmaid dress fitting, lost my Thai food virginity, drove to Stirling with J and Katie Ruf, watched An Ideal Husband at Lenore's, ate lots of chocolate.
Wednesday had a picnic lunch with Katie, Juliana, Ariel, and Caro, frolicked around Old Town with all sans Katie, got sunburned, met Claire, went malling with Juliana, Ariel, Katie, and Claire, watched Thoroughly Modern Millie with Juliana, Claire, and Katie.
Thursday drove to DC around noonish, lunched at Cosi's (where a guy almost punched some people), drove around in a car a lot, nannied with Katkish, made $50, watched a lot of Fresh Prince.
Friday picked up K. Sas, lunched at Cheesecake Factory, tooled around Chevy Chase a bit, drove to BWI to get K. Field, went to Georgetown, ate dinner, were generally sketchy, watched My Cousin Vinny.
Saturday went to Downtown DC, saw the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Wall, and WWII Memorial, left DC, got my first speeding ticket ever on 422 on the way home.
