EDMONTON - An academic maverick is challenging conventional wisdom on Canada's prehistory by claiming an archeological site in southern Alberta is really a vast, open-air sun temple with a precise 5,000-year-old calendar predating England's Stonehenge and Egypt's pyramids.

I read that and thought it was neat. Looking at the aerial view of the site, I have trouble thinking that those radial lines and circle were randomly placed, though I can't say his theory is 100% correct (we might never know).

It's interesting, though, and if it's true, and amazing find.

I've always wondered about the ancient history of Canada. This will be so fascinating to read about. I'm going to look for the book.
