I've left this post open instead of friendslocking it so if you know anyone who is looking at ordering from Geeky Clean please feel free to direct them here and also to their Facebook page where negative reviews have started to go up as well. Buyer beware with this company ( Read more... )

If they would just communicate they'd do okay, people can be patient if they know what's happening, but this is a pretty big communication failure. If it were just me then they'd also be fine but they seem to be having the same problems with orders in the US and just aren't able to keep up with emails or orders but aren't willing to limit the orders to what they can keep up with either.

I think they likely need to scale back if they can't afford to hire extra help right now and just make what they can make and when they're able to keep a smaller business balanced they can look into hiring some part time help. Even a teenager to answer the emails for minimum wage would likely be a huge help for them. Most emails probably require a form response so they can prep those and then only have to deal with the complex questions.

I was polite in my email to them, not particularly forgiving the second time around but I was polite and clear. I don't want to be mean and nasty because that's likely to make anyone just tune out and I think I have a good point to make about communication.

Of course I made that point when I replied to the email Chris sent me in early December and then they let my order sit for 12 more days past when they said it would ship. Once again no communication about that delay so I'm not feeling particularly heard by them right now.

I don't wish them ill but I also don't want anyone I know to be stuck in a similar position to me where I now have to make up 'IOU cards' as Christmas gifts instead of being able to give out wonderful presents. Hence posting this, and when I get home I'm going to link to it on Facebook (theirs and mine) not as a vindictive action against them but as a alert to anyone who's planning to order from them anytime soon. Hopefully they see this and take a moment to pause and reassess how they communicate with their customers and actually work to fix the problem this time around.

I pretty much said the same thing to him in my email :)

people are forgiving if they know what's going on, but no communication at all feels like not caring.

it should be an interesting situation to watch develop.

They deleted the comments on Facebook about the late orders. The reviews are still up and I added my own there as well as commenting on their most recent status update about the deleted comments. That thread wasn't even hostile, it was at least letting people see that orders were coming and that theirs wasn't the only delayed order. Deleting the thread doesn't give me much confidence in them at all, that's the "ignore the problem and it will go away" course of action.

Yeah, this afternoon the third capslock post down comes from their IP address... professionalism is not theirs yet. Plus their response to negative feedback has people claiming that I'm a troll... so apparently wanting decent customer service means that I'm mean.

As Malcolm Reynolds would say... "huh."

I await your email :) (do you want me to screen this post since it's got personal info about them?)

I'm not going to troll them, nor am I going to continue to post about them publicly or try to crash their business. That wasn't my intention from the start. My intention was to open the forum for discussion that they were eliminating and to let people who were ordering from them see that there was a problem with getting orders on time which is something that customers should know. (and it wasn't just Christmas orders as I had someone message me privately about an order from more than a month before I made mine that went unanswered - this has been going on for months)

However, I'm not taking down this post or my link to it. Nor am I deleting the comments where I point out that the third capslock post comes from their IP address.

They made the decision to start to delete negative comments rather than address them and someone made the decision to troll my post from their computer (I'm not at their apartment, I have no idea who was over that day who did it and I doubt that'll ever get answered which is why I am careful to say that someone did it from that IP address but not that it was them because it may have been a friend or family member sticking up for them and just choosing a bad way to do that.)

They also made the decision to keep taking orders long past when they should have been taking them and while I've now read back to see their posts about being backlogged they never were clear about how bad it was and they were always encouraging more orders. It's a mistake yes, and not malicious, I've never said they were malicious, just that they were in over their heads and refusing to admit it.

I don't wish them ill but I won't buy from them and I won't recommend their products to people here after the huge delay in mine and the really negative customer service experience I had. That's business. I had 6 instances of bad customer service with them from just this one order. I'm not going to sit back and say nothing about that either and let my friends order from them and get into the same cycle that I went through.
