going friends only

I've been meaning to make this journal friends only for a while, no time like the present I guess. For now all unlocked posts are remaining unlocked but anything new is going to be friends only. I know there are a couple of you who drop by here to read my journal who don't have a livejournal yourselves, you're still welcome to read here but you'

I like the banner quite a bit. Given the last few days that I've had, it brought a smile to my face, too. I've only got a passing idea that they are the Dresden Dolls, right? :)

They are indeed the Dresden Dolls :) I have no idea who you are though ;) How do I know you?

You don't know me directly, Eliza, although it's possible that we've met in the past at a gaming or science fiction convention (assuming you attend those), but we also have a few interests in common as well. I'm a friend of thebitterguy, and a mention of you that he made in his journal some time ago, got me interested in your journal writings and all. So I friended you. :)

I've just started the conventions in the past few years but it's definitely possible that I've met you somewhere along the way, or if not maybe I'll see you this year :)

Out of curiosity, what conventions are you going to this year?

Probably Polaris and SFX in Toronto. I'm not sure yet, it'll depend on the guest lists for both.
