Wed. tv thoughts and random stuffs

1. Sarah Slean concert tonight in Hamilton. I totally had "night-before-christmas" syndrome last night and had trouble falling asleep and then kept waking up. I gave up on sleep at 6am and got up early for a shower and to pack stuff for the day. I'm going to be ridiculously tired at this show... and more wiped for work tomorrow. It's still worth it :)

2. It looks like winter outside. Snow covered house tops and all. It's mostly icy snow though so everyone please cross your fingers that the trips to and from Hamilton tonight will be safe ones. Also for anyone driving in the snow be careful please :)

3. And now for some random TV thoughts from last night

Private Practice

I didn't really find this episode sweeps worthy. It felt more like the one which would come the week after sweeps just before reruns. I dunno, I like this show but much of the time it hasn't grabbed me the way GA did when it was just starting out.

Much of the time was spent dealing with the post non-sex/sex awkwardness and that's not as entertaining to watch. Although it does teach us a good lesson about dating at work... no one on TV will learn from it but maybe viewers will ;)

High point of the episode was Laine (from Gilmore Girls) as a nun with an awesome tattoo on her wrist. Very cool :) Good to see the actress is finding work :)

Okay, now who thought it was a good idea to let Addison volunteer to rescue babies? The minute they talked about what she'd be doing I could see where it would go. Also, why isn't there a rule that says they absolutely cannot keep the babies at the hospital with them? That seems like it should be a given to prevent people from becoming too attached. Anyways, that played out exactly like I thought it would, right down to the girl coming back for her baby. Cute storyline mostly, but predictible.

Criminal Minds

Continuing the Garcia storyline from last week.

First of all I have to SQUEE for Nicolas Brendon being in this week's episode! Not only was he guest starring but he was playing a cute geek boy. LOVE! Clearly I am all over shipping him and Garcia and hope he's around for more episodes :)

Know what else I loved? The "I don't believe in guns" "they're very real" exchange. Yes! I really don't like when people say they don't "believe" in something like guns or war etc. No, you don't support them, you don't want to use them/take part in them BUT you have to believe in them unless you have your head up your ass. These things exist, deal with them as you will.

This was a good storyline, I didn't figure out who the guy was. I kept thinking that maybe he really was a lawyer and somehow Garcia would have messed up one of his cases but nope, not so much. Well played show.
