I'm finally getting some time to write out my thoughts about Vernica Mars - Charlie Don't Surf
Hee well I love the quote "me + idea = good" I shall hold onto that one for future usage.
Moving on, let's get this one over with: Parker. Umm okay WTF. I just can't like her character yet. I get that she's been through something traumatic and I don't want to belittle that but after Veronica shares that she's been raped as well you'd think they'd have bonded just a little bit. They don't need to be BFFs or anything but perhaps a little grudging respect. That would be nice. Also I don't get why she tells the newspaper she doesn't want people to know about what happened to her and then she goes and protests with a jumbo sized poster of her freshly shaven head. Not the best incognito job I've seen. And really (yes this rant keeps going) she needs to stop crying that everyone misjudged her and her slutty ways. Until she was raped she was well on her way to becoming the dorm slut. A different guy every night and it's only frosh week! I knew a few girls who did that (they were having a contest, who could get the most ass in a year) you know what everyone else in residence called them? Sluts. It's personal choice and I respect that it's one that people make. But those people don't usually sleep with 7 guys in 7 nights and then say they were misjudged because the last one turned out to be a creep. And why are we getting more Parker and no Mac, weren't they inseperable last week? I'd like to see more Mac!
Lastly, her wig should be fugged. I get that we're back to her real hair now and they're styling it to look wig like but in her first scene with Veronica it was truly ugly.
Now onto the good, Dick! Dick in Veronica Mars's house! Dick talking to Keith! It's adorable how Keith was going to stick around to protect Veronica. You just want to pull him aside and explain that should there be any trouble Veronica could just blow up a shiny red balloon and Dick would be distracted for the remainder of the evening.
Side note: Keith and Veronica snark is awesome and has been missed the last little while :)
Back to Dick and the frat boys. So he's in the frat now and not living with Logan? That is a shame, but he totally is a school residence boy. And the guy who was a suspect for a while because he'd taken a while to answer the door and when he did he was all naked and sweaty... last guy I heard of who was in that circumstance was caught masterbating not nailing some other guy's girlfriend, how did that become so suspicious?
Oh another favourite line of the night "who knew that when opportunity knocked, it would look like a horny surfer?" I tell you if all of my life's opportunitys shows up like that I'd be doing so well ;)
So the Logan and his brand new half brother plot seems a bit "OMGCOMABABY" to me. I'm holding judgement for a few more weeks on that one but still, thus far it's not my most favourite idea. Although I did like the look of his real half brother so perhaps that could be fun.
