Met with the CEO a bit after 10:30am. Presented his copy of the script to review. Read the part of the character (Redwing), while our event producer read the stage notes and setting information.
Then I presented our options on pacing the piece. Basically, I can write it to include whatever, however we need it.
He. Loved. It. It stays all together, we don't have to break the story into segments across the two days of the Convention.
Woohooooo! Much relief. When you visualize the whole piece as clearly as I did, you wonder how you're going to restructure it if they don't catch your vision. I've learned to expect and accommodate changes to my creative work. It's part of my profession, and early on I saw how *not* being able to deal with that would be a detriment.
But omg, how great it feels to not have to rethink the ideas as they flow. :)
My sincerest thanks to ya'll rooting for me in the stands... when you're as untalented at sports as I am, you need every bit of support you can get. (Thank gosh this isn't really sports... i'd be dooooomed!)
