Woohoo happiness away from Bristol!
I had such a good day yesterday - I really did. Firstly meeting with a bunch of NF people, which was hilarious and bloody marvellous, if only for the fact that for a change I wasn't the only smoker there! Was great to meet people I've not met before and also to see those I have again.
I am also sooooooooooooooo happy to see my friend again, who I haven't seen for two months. And even though I'm in east London and I was a little scared, actually it's cool because get this, she has a stunning view from her roof and also from next to her local pub. We left the pub yesterday, which I was vaguely aware is on the river front but as you walk out and look to your right, Tower Bridge is literally right in front of you and feels like it's in touching distance, as is the Guerkin building and last night with it all lit up it was just breath taking.
Anyway, we had such a wicked time catching up properly about everything, about our lovely new jobs and also she bought me what can only be described as the perfect Liz present - the book A Nice Cup of Tea and a Sit Down. I've only read a few pages but it's hilarious and also perfect, obviously, because it details the overwhelming joys of tea.
Anyhoo - London traffic et cetera woke me up earlier than I hoped so I'm going to try and doze for a little while. The Eye and Theatre later! Woohoo!
