I got the mother fucking job!

Exciting news my special Neighbours friends - I got the job I went for. So here's the drill: I basically go in as administrator/researcher/general dogsbody. They offered me extra money because I'm that good and woohoo - looks like I'm going to be recruitment consultant. Having said that, I might actually hate it. But hopefully not! When Ali (the chick from Goddard Gadd) called and told me, I was jumping around generally gabbling but mainly it was comments like, 'Really? Oh my god. I can't believe. This is amazing. I'm so excited. I just... thank you. Thank you so much.' Then I realised how OTT I was being and said something along the lines of, 'Sorry, gosh, I'm supposed to be mature, but uh, yes, that's great.' I was at work at the time and I'd had a pretty crappy start to the day so it was a feeling of total elation that I was going to be getting out. I basically ran around the entire hotel to tell them I was offski.

The only thing is, I thought my notice period was a week, so I was really excited. It's actually four. In my resignation letter I asked to be released because I don't think it's helpful to anyone for me to be kept there for so long.

I just can't believe it, I'm so excited about this. It's the fact that I've got an opportunity with an amazing company to get some brilliant experience before I go to uni. It also means that I can do exactly what I want at uni without thinking, 'Ooh, what is a potential employee going to think about my degree? What about experience? Aren't I just another one in a long line?' Et cetera, et cetera.

Just want to thank Miriam again for her fab advice and dealing with my pre-interview nerves. :)

And in other, brief news, I have current internet problems/computer problems and have therefore barely been on this week. I intend to catch up a LOT later this evening. And also to write this week's summary and also to actually watch this week's Neighbours. Nightmare!
