went to the bush protest today and used my high 8 for the first time (oh so many new cameras, i can barely contain myself). the zoom on it is really fast, and i never got the hang of it, so every time i used it i ended up fucking up the shot, but other than that things went smoothly and i got some good footage. i was pretty lucky with ending up in places accidentally right before something started, so i got the beginning of some things i didn't see any other cameras at at first, mainly the ambush of sorts on the corporate media (of course their camera got this, but no others at first from my vantage point) and this guy getting arrested for no apparant reason and the cops telling his friends it would "violate his rights" if they told them why the man was being arrested.
anyways, got home around three and since then everyone has been just "coexisting" as aysha puts it. we're all laying around the main floor in this post-rally laziness and disappointment. nothing that seemed substantial happened today, and i don't think anyone expected it to, which is almost more sad than the former.
