It's that time of year again! I'm so excited to bring you the first installment of our annual series of interviews with the finalists for the William C. Morris YA Debut Award! This year, the newest addition to our Morris Award family, 2014 winner Stephanie Kuehn, author of Charm & Strange, kicks off the series with her chat with Isabel Quintero, author of Gabi, A Girl in Pieces.

Read their interview here! I loved reading about Quintero's writing process and the influences on her work. Stay tuned for Installment #2, which will be right here next Monday, Jan 19, when I have the great pleasure of interviewing Leslye Walton about her debut novel, The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender.

And be sure to check out the rest of the nominees at the YALSA Morris page.
