I'll answer this in pieces, I think :)

9: Nothing can really break my love for my canons, but creeping back into Austen fandom has rather forcibly reminded me of why I backed out in the first place. I'm still sticking around! But ... whoa. IDK, maybe I'm just remembering HG in a haze of nostalgia, but I really think there used to be a lot more discussions (Shelby's comment threads were some of the most thoughtful and enjoyable conversations ever), a lot more freedom, better fic, and a bit less casual homophobia and misogyny. *wistful*

11: Austen - I've made a lot of personal friends over the years who are great (*waves*), but I also have a very, very long "do not engage" list, and often end up wondering if people have actually read the books. Star Wars - not quite as extreme, but I really wish people would roll back on the personal attacks. Question people's ideas, not their intelligence and motivations. (Seriously, any sentence beginning "you/they only say/think that because..." is a REALLY BAD IDEA.) LOK - nice, friendly, very earnest, skews younger than I'm used to. The Hollow Crown/Henriad - everyone is amazing, omg, I love you all. (Except hipster Shakespeare fans who whine about new fans only watching THC for Tom Hiddleston, they can stfu, but they actually seem to have gone away, so it's all good.)

15 - Who Wants To Live Forever, Noatak and Tarrlok :(

16 - Ooh, one idea I've had floating around for awhile is that Luke and Leia knew all along that they were twins. I'm imagining they were raised together until they were 6-7 and became too noticeable in the Force, and had this massively traumatic separation. So when Leia's message showed up, Luke flips the hell out because OMG LEIA, when he shows up in her cell it's the happiest reunion ever, and they're trolling Han for the lulz in ESB. It should go off the canon rails at some point, but I'm not sure where, heh. Ooh, maybe the truth gets out during ESB and Vader changes his plans on the way to Cloud City, and captures both of them for the worst reunion ever.

9. That really sucks. I'm sorry. *Hugs*

11. So this regarding the STAR WARS fandom, so very much.

And yeah, the LOK fandom seems a tad saner than the ATLA fandom, from what I've seen. :)

That really is annoying, regarding THE HOLLOW CROWN. I can never really understand those sorts of attacks; they just never help your case.

15. Oh God. *Hugs them both* Finally catching up on KORRA (a bit; kind of doing it out of order), but those poor boys. They deserved so much better than what Yakone gave them. I know I had to momentarily stop watching "Endgame" at the beginning of the scene where they meet up again because I already knew what was going to happen. I can't imagine what it'll be like when I get to "Skeletons In The Closet".

(Sorry if that didn't make sense, BTW)

16. Best. AU. Ever. Seriously. :)

LOK fandom seems ... idk, on the one hand, less open warfare, on the other, a lot more fractured (I think partly it's the different platforms - it's easier to filter out things you don't want to see on Tumblr). Maybe a bit less active? I'm not sure. I do like it, though, even if they make me feel old. :D

Well, I honestly do understand some of the hipster backlash that happens a lot (I get persnickety and sit there wondering, "have you even read it...?"), but no, it doesn't do any good. And, I mean, so what if a bunch of these people are watching Shakespeare for Tom Hiddleston? They're still watching Shakespeare, and Shakespeare as pop-entertainment is what it's supposed to be anyway. *shrugs*

"Those poor boys" about covers it. I mean, there's messed-up, and then there's abuse, torture, and unrelenting misery forever. Yeah, Endgame is pretty devastating. (For kids!)

Re the AU - thanks! I just want more Luke-and-Leia-as-sibs stuff, and I think the separation is skeevy and I like AUs, so!
