Shop till ya drop

Good day today.

Missy came over around 12:30 and we headed to Broad Ripple to do some shopping. As we're walking to Pitaya this dude runs across the street as is screaming, "Hey! Hey! Stop!" He looks around our age, cute but scruffy looking, so we stop. He's like, "I just wanted to say you girls are absolutly gorgeous." Of course, Missy and I are like, "Uh, thanks," and keep walking. He's like, "No, really, I'm not trying to hit on you; it's just been awhile since I've seen two beautiful girls that don't look like carbon copies of everyone else." We chatted for a bit -- he went to Park Tudor, then Marian College, so we all knew some of the same people. He invited us to his party tonight, though we're not going. While its flattering that he stopped us to say we looked pretty -- without so much as asking for our numbers or anything else skeevy -- it was still quite random.

After some shopping in Broad Ripple we headed downtown to go to H&M. They had nothing. Though I did buy this really cute, floppy, knit hat. It's so adorable.

Then we went to say hi to some friends on the North Side, but no one was home. Apparently everyone was out and about like us. So we went to Borders, Old Navy, and then finished off the afternoon with a stop at Coldstone Creamery.

I love afternoons with Missy.

Last night Les and I had date night. We went to Ted's Montanto BBQ in Clay Terrace. Like two snooty old people, we ordered some Pinot Noir. I had the most AMAZING shrimp ever. Oh, delicious!!! Then we saw Jarhead. Jake Gyllenhal is soooo fucking hot. They show him naked several times, so that was quite lovely.

Tonight I'm staying in. My wallet needs a rest, plus I'm starting to get burnt out on the bars again. Bleh.

Monday we're all getting together for the game. That should be exciting. Saturday Nov. 19 Les and I are headed to Cincy for Bobbie's daughter's 1st birthday. I cannot belive my old roomie is married with a 1 year old -- and she's 3 months preggo again!!

Okay, am going to go pick up a Sunday paper. Toodles.
