Hi Summer! You are fun and work-filled!
Well, summer has been pretty decent so far, it has basically revolved around two things: work and my sister. Work is going VERY well, I love my job and am lucky to have it. Being a children's librarian is being like a kid in a candy store for me and while I have read almost 10 books so far.....3/4 of them are from the young adult section. WHATEVER ITS PART OF MY JOB JEEZ. Everyone should come visit the library at some point, its fun and you can find books that make you go "awwwwww I read that once".
Katherine has been the other big focus of course. She went to prom and looked lovely in her dress, she got an award for History WOOT, and she graduated in a very nice ceremony (though they didn't have fireworks like we did). My little baby is all growed up and going off to college at Mt.Holyoke this fall. WAYUHWAYUH
All mixed in there was my birthday. The day itself was nothing much (I think my Dad forgot and my sister had a BBQ where no less then three bugs flew up my nose) but the days following were great! My family party with fellow birthday kids Danny and Sheila was great fun, Dad took me out for breakfast, the 4 took me to Look Park where we went on the train and played paired up, HC friends sent cards and love, and my co-workers got me a cheesecake (a "week after the birthday" celebration). I like it that way, lots of small things over a period of time, it's nice. My birthday has both good and bad things attached to it and this year was a nice calm celebration of being two decades old YIKES.
So thats that, summer is slightly dull but fun all the same. I am looking forward to seeing school friends VERY soon....it's becoming a necessity. Seriously folks, I don't work on Friday, Saturday or Sunday...spend a long weekend in Western Mass for a change! I did however get to see my pals Lexie and Kim and attend a really cool concert called Earthfest in Boston. Guster was great, but John Butler Trio=AMAZING!
Shrek is on so I have to go, hope everyone is having a great summer.
