Supernatural's fourth season premiere will hit the CW this Thursday, and though we already know that our boy Dean will rise from the dead, everyone's wondering how his escape from Hell went down, right?
While I can't spill the details, I can tell you that the explanation is not a cop out as far as I'm concerned. I was at first a bit skeptical about the possibility of bringing Dean back in a plausible manner, but in the Supernatural world, the story actually works and will drive much of the action in this new season. Want a hint? Dean will learn why he was rescued from the depths of Hell during a conversation that is somewhat similar to the uncomfortable one that Peggy had with her Priest on Sunday night's Mad Men (Dean would be Peggy in this situation. If you don't watch Mad Men, just do some research -- and please start DVRing it immediately, you're so missing out!)...
As for Sam, the younger sibling has been very busy since his big bro disappeared four months ago. He's broken a major promise to someone, but seems to have found his life's calling in the meantime.
So, what else? A character that you may have thought was gone from the show for good will return, and she'll be sticking around for quite some time -- actually, we'll be seeing several old friends this season. Want more? Dean's still a smart ass, and the saying "the Devil made me do it" will take on a whole new meaning as the year progresses...
Any thoughts?
