This weekend was lots of fun.
We (three of us total) had been watching the weather reports earlier this week and they were saying great weather, so we decided to ride the motorcycles. We went out to Astoria Friday night (via hwy. 26, the first half of the ride was great but half way there we hit the fog and rainy ickyness. But we get to our destination safely and not too miserable.
Saturday it's nice and sunny. We have a lazy morning, then putz around a little downtown Astoria, then use our designated driver parent to bring us out to the Seafood & Wine festival going on this weekend. Very very busy but fun. Good food, lots of wine booths (plus one beer and one sake booth), and lots of loud, tipsy people. Great fun. :) Ran into an old classmate of mine, that was a little odd though not too surprising. We stayed there for about 3-4 hours then left, deciding to take advantage of parent transport again rather than wait a very long time for the bus that they had. The rest of the day was hanging around the house, relaxing, my two companions took a trip out to the beach and enjoyed the sunset. Lots of beautiful sunsets in Astoria and on the coast. Finished with an evening sauna.
Sunday was another lazy morning, visited the Column, then the other set of parents, then took off home on a somewhat scenic motorcycle ride on hwy 30. Got back, took a nice nap (I was tired, long day, I think the others were too) then went into the hot tub before going to bed. It was a very nice, very enjoyable weekend.
Now I'm back at work, a little tired and out of it from this weekend, wishing I had another day to play out in this wonderful sun.
