(no subject)
I think it's time for another journal entry. This year has been a whirlwind of change I don't think I have ever been this busy.
I have to say that i'm proud of the things I accomplished this year. It's almost the end of the year and it's a good time to reflect.
January I moved to North Carolina (a month before that I did the first half of the move by myself). Worked hard to get all the stuff out of my apartment. John and his family came to take me to Disney World one last time and we got to do some fun things around the area. It really helped provide a sense of closure, but goodbye's aren't forever especially given the amount of times I came back this year to visit. I will always consider Orlando my other home. I was just so grateful John's parents offered to help me move. Even after two trips and their van I still couldn't fit everything!! The first month of the year was a real struggle physically and emotionally. I felt like it was the end of a chapter in my life. I knew it was for the better though.
February - John surprised me by taking me to the pinehurst members club for a special valentines day event. It was the best valentines day I ever had. The food was out of this world and location helped too.
March - Drove to SC to visit my grandparents and had Easter at my house.
May - Visited coworkers and friends in Orlando then drove to Miami to visit my dad for a few days. I was glad John got to meet my dad.
July - My mom came to visit me for 4th of July we went to a BBQ party at the members club and watched fireworks from the golf course.
Went to Orlando to be in my friend's wedding as a bridesmaid. I was truly honored to have this opportunity. Everything turned out great and I couldn't be happier for Ashley.
August - Went to Myrtle Beach for the first time for my birthday - this includes Magiquest (coolest place ever! I got a wand to take home too)
Also went to Ripleys Aquarium and Medival times, i think i've been to almost every location now lol
September - Went to Dragoncon and got to visit my family and my best friends! I did almost everything I wanted to just disappointed John wasn't with me more. Will have to fix that next year, but we did celebrate our anniversary at this epic Brazilian Steakhouse.
Went to Lizzy's wedding in Altanta. This was incredible I could not be happier for her. We were able to catch up on some lost time. I had lots of fun! I also got to visit my uncle, aunt, and cousin they don't live too far from there.
October - Went to Miami to help my dad recover from surgery and Orlando for my coworker Silas wedding. The next day I went to my friend's memorial service for her mom it was a sunset boat cruise. It was so beautiful and peaceful. The dolphins followed the boat and everyone had great things to say. I don't think it could have turned out better!
Went to a haunted house and Scarowinds (got season passes yay!) Hosted a halloween party. It was a blast! I am so happy John loves to go to haunted houses ^_^
November - Went to Orlando for a business meeting. It was a great experience and it was nice to see my coworkers after so long. My friend's hosted a BBQ for me, it was amazing! I just wish I had more time to visit.
Went to Charlotte to go to the Rennaisance festival.
Off the top of my head there's other things that happened i may not remember the exact time though. I know Irina came to visit me early in the year. I've had some special occasions with John's family for birthdays.
I've really had a chance to shine at work with the projects I've been assigned to. I feel lucky to take part in that.
All I can say is that I am blessed to have the best friend's in the world who support me in everything I do. We may go a while without talking but they are always in my heart. I know that I would not have been able to accomplish as much this year without them. As much fun as I've had this year with every big change comes days, months of healing and adapting. John has helped me so much and we are there for each other. <3
