Rave's Mind is a Scaaary Place

Robin shut his mouth against his cry as he shot through the blinding red and black portal, through time, space, and conceptual reality. He pinched his eyes closed as a lurching feeling began to grow in his stomach. He remembered being uncomfortable when he went into Raven's mind, but... this was bordering frightening just on its own. Just as suddenly as it had begun, the lights and sounds spun their way to a sudden halt, and he was spit out of the portal with a grunt onto a lumpy spot of the ground.
...wait, that wasn't the ground...
"Beast Girl!" he exclaimed apologetically, immediately lifting himself from on top of her. Offering a hand, he pulled the changeling to her feet and sighed. "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" he asked, giving her a quick visual scan.
Whether or not he'd hurt her, though, seemed the least of their problems right now. Robin tried not to let fear and hopelessness sink into him as he looked around the place that he knew once was an oddly happy meadow. All that greeted his looks now was an empty field of dead grass and a dark, unwelcoming sky. No flowers, no birds, no berries. Just a barren wasteland of... nothing. The only things that stuck out were two dead, twisted trunks of trees that would no doubt have been full of cherry blossoms under normal circumstances.
But these weren't normal circumstances.
Robin didn't let go of Beast Girl's hand, but instead turned to her with a serious, no-nonsense expression. "Beast Girl, I want you to listen to me," he said, drawing her attention. His voice was hushed but urgent, almost as if he were afraid someone would be listening. "I want you to stay close to me at all times, and tell me if you see anything following us." He gave her hand a comforting squeeze. "Don't be afraid. We're going to get through this, and we're going to be okay. All of us."
