I'm Alaina, and I've been making graphics for about 2 or 3 years now. I have a graphics community I share with my sister (phantom_phan06), and that's where I normally post everything. I'm a member of a lot of icon contest and LIMS communities, because I love the constructive criticism and competition.
Hi Alaina :) Sorry, but it's a no for now. I think you're overusing the mixed channels option, making parts of your icons too blue *like #1, 4, 5, 8*, it's not good for people's faces, and actually on 90% icons this effect looks out of place and old-fashioned (which it is). Also you've got to work on the lighting/brightening issue: #2, 9, 10, 11 look okay, but #1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 12 and 13 need more light/contrast. I like the vintage effect you create on your icons, but it needs another colors (purple, violet, yellow, sepia, orange etc.) instead of blues on faces. Blue is good, but not when it makes people resemble zombies :D I'd advise you to check iconjournals of the members of this community to understand what level of iconmaking we require. Good luck and feel free to reapply following the rules (point #6 :))

Hi :) My answer is yes, but i've got conditions, if my partner llean accepts you too and accepts my conditions - you're in. First of all, you've got nice coloring, i don't really like how you've colored #1, this effect is stylish, but looks better on another images. In contraction, #2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 11-13 and colored nicely, i think you should work more with bright colors (and i absolutely adored this, this, this, this and this icons from your examples. Your comm is members only, so i had to judge basing only on the examples you've provided here and those which are at your comm). But i'd love to see more complex icons from you too, and that's where we're coming to my conditions

Thank you, I'm glad you like my coloring.
Just to be absolutely sure, you like the more simple icons, as the examples you gave from my community, and would like to see more complex icons as well or you would just like to see more complex icons? If I get in.

You're welcome :) It's nice to see guy iconmaker anyway, bc the majority is girls xD No, simple icons are for life, but i'd like to see complex icons as well :) There should be harmony i think, some icons look better when they're simple, some are better when they're complex xD
And i just gotta have the forget-me not icon among my icons, with credit for sure :)
It's a yes from me, you've improved a lot since last time you applied + since this time as well xDDD check invites in a moment ;) And sorry for the late reply
It's indeed a yes from me, I love your creativity and use of textures. Your coloring is generally really nice as well, i'd only like to advise you to be more careful with red and yellow together, 'cause #2 and #7 are a bit too warm for my taste, they look a little overburnt, but overall, i'm saying yes :)
I really like the creativeness of your icons. The colors and the use of text are really amazing, and they fit the icons perfectly. The textures and composition are really nice too so welcome to the comm) and check your invites in a mo :)
