Okay, here's one I can do.
I said I don't know anything about the war, and I don't, so that doesn't really sway me, but if I was 18, I'd vote Kerry.
Why, you MAY ask?
Well, I think Bush doesn't really follow the seperation of religion and state, first of all. Our country has tons of different religions and a lot of his opinions are based on his religion (which is also mine, but we still have many different opinions.) For instance, gay marriage. Like I said in my application, i'm totally for it, but Bush wants an amendment against it. First of all, that's really dumb. Second of all, he knows it would never pass, I think he just wants to sway more people of the same opinion as him to vote for him. And he's pro-life, right? I don't believe in abortion but I think it should be a womans choice.
Plus, did you see the presidential debates? Kerry totally kicked Bushes ass. I almost felt sorry for him, he looked so nervous and kept on repeating ourselves. Personally, I don't think a nervous president is what we need. Bush has broken promises that he made before and I doubt he'll keep the ones he's made now.
I don't really like Kerry either, but when it comes down to it, I like Kerry better. He wouldn't ban gay marriage, which scores major points for me.. Well, he's basically the opposite of Bush, plus, he wouldn't start up the draft again.
So there you have it. The only reason I can see that I would vote for Bush for is because I don't really think it's wise to change presidents right in the middle of the war.
