amusing exchange last night
(Background: Cash bought a shiny new gaming computer and is giving me his old machine.)

"Will you show me how to zip my files this weekend?"
him:
"Are you asking me out on a date?"

Yesterday I went grocery shopping with Karla at Trader Joe's. Oh, the vast and varied yumminess. I got hummus and carrots and yogurt and juice and peanut butter and fruit leather and granola bars and goat cheese and olives and green tea and more, and I actually spent less than I thought I would. And I got a badminton set for $1.50 at the Japanese dollar store, and a notepad featuring a hedgehog uttering nonsensical phrases. It was awesome.
I've discovered a new joy in life: birdwatching at the Palo Alto train station in the morning. Today there were these black birds with red wings that I'd never seen before, and cute little sparrows hopping around. I love birds.
Tomorrow is the San Francisco/Silicon Gulch joint meetup at Little India.
I am very happy.
