OMG JOHN BARROWMAN SINGING 'YOUR SONG'. I'LL JUST BE RIGHT. OVER. HERE.
....
Why oh why didn't I know earlier that this John Barrowman guy everybody was talking about was the same guy who sings 'Night And Day' with Kevin Kline in DeLovely? That's like, my favorite scene. He has one of the best male voices I've ever heard. (And why wasn't I aware that there's a gay sci-fi/action hero and nobody cares that he's gay? Awesome.)
Oh man. I must download everything he's ever sung now. Sang. Sung?
Anyway. My not-having-seen-Torchwood was remedied this past weekend at Cat and Kenneally's. We had a good time drinking, playing Scene It and catching me up on all things Captain Jack. It's a good show, Torchwood. +1 for being Doctor Who with swearing and sex. (But -1 for no Doctor.) It's a bunch of attractive people with cute Welsh accents. The main girl is sort of like Laura Fraser. All good things.
My Doctor Who-dom is so convoluted. I'd seen the beginning of the Chris Eccleston episodes but not the end, and now I've seen the end but missed a few in the middle. I've seen the beginning of Season Three, the beginning of Torchwood, random episodes in the middle, the end of Season One and the beginning of Season Two.
I have, however, seen all of Season Two.
And all the discs with episodes I've missed are at the top of my Netflix now.
Ten is still my favorite, but I must admit, there were a few moments where the Ninth Doctor gave me the vapors.
(Oh! And John Barrowman sings All I Ask Of You! My latent Phantom fangirl goes squee!)
Cash is getting off work in a few minutes and then we're going to watch Shoot Em Up, which came in the mail today. Apparently it's so horrible it's awesome.
