This year I have also read Galatea 2.2, started A Heartbreaking Work Of Staggering Genius (I don't know if I can hack it though), caught up with Runaways, and started reading Preacher. I don't know what I would do without books. I picked up four more yesterday from the Free Books shelf, including one by Charles de Lint. I haven't read de Lint in ages. I don't know what to read next. I want to finish the Dune books. I want to dive into House Of Leaves.
Yesterday I watched The Last King Of Scotland again. I got to get in free so that's alright. Not a ridiculous fangirl or anything. Just downtown with nothing to do. That's all, I swear. (Oh, wait. I'm using this icon by fan_elune just because it's cute. Okay. Maybe a tiny bit ridiculous and fangirly. Ahem.)
confidential has started watching Battlestar, finally. He keeps sending me amusing text messages such as
'Don't let her hold the baby!'
'Kid captain is a dick'
and
'Why does nothing in the future have corners'?
Hee. Oh, to be watching a good show for the first time again. Which reminds me, I need to watch more Veronica Mars because Michael Muhney is once again made of awesome.
I heard from my friend Kim Lum today. It had been so long. I miss her when she's travelling the world, which is all the time. If I didn't have the kind of life I have, and love it, I would want the sort of life she has. Someday I will. With the travelling and the romance.
But for now I like my life. Love, even. Yes, for now I love my life.
