So Thad and I were planning on going to breakfast this morning, which turned into brunch because I wasn't about to wake up anytime early. We went to Stack's though, so breakfast food was still had. I invited Adam and Karla and their kids along, and afterwards I left with them to go to Lee's Comics.
brand_eks AKA Jason (formerly known as Lee's Comics Guy) was working so we hung around with him for a while. Finally set up a subscription box so I don't miss things anymore - such as Buffy 'Season 8' and the Dark Tower.
Oh god, speaking of the Dark Tower comics -
here is a trailer for them. I am in love, you hear me? Already completely in love. It's just unspeakable, what Jae Lee is doing. I saw his gorgeous illustrated Dracula while I was at the comic shop but managed to convince myself that I don't need to own three different editions of Dracula. Yet.
As per usual, Jason was awesome to us and bought Adam and me our comics in honor of our respective birthdays - so I got the Eternals sketchbook and issue #5.
Ooh, and right before we had to leave I was skimming through an interview with David X. Coen in (I think) Toyfare, and among the storylines he said they were going to revisit I saw the words 'Seymour the dog' and almost cried.
Right now I'm over at Adam and Karla's. We were watching Freaks and Geeks, and now Adam is playing Star Trek: Legacy. I feel as though I've been typing this entry for a long time.
I love all my birthday wishes!
Dinner with the Beagles tonight, and then Rocky. Arielle is picking me up in the afternoon tomorrow to prep for the New Year's party at Gabe's place.
Sleep? I hear that's something you do sometimes. I'll look into it.
