Aw. The hard drive on the Mac is going CLICK CLICK CLICK. My sources tell me this is not good so I've got to get a new one. Oh, well. It is still a Mac and once I have that hard drive it will run and jump and skip and make sense.

Strawberries are on sale at Safeway. Glorious, sweet, ripe strawberries. I bought four pounds of them because two old ladies told me to. I'm glad I did.

Right around this time last year, I had just moved in to the house on Sierra Street, I was consuming many cheap strawberries, and I was being introduced to a little show called Firefly. 'Huh,' I said. 'It's Steve The Pirate. Oh, and this is the best show I have ever seen.'

A year later, I've just moved into this apartment, I am currently consuming many cheap strawberries, and posting this in between e-mailing artists for raffle donations and getting ready to go to a Silicon Gulch meetup. Also, that Steve The Pirate guy is now the hottest man alive.

Life's funny that way.

Yesterday Cat and I were supremely domestic. We went to the Cost Plus that just opened in Redwood City, and to the Ikea in Palo Alto. Among other things I got a new colander, a garment bag for my traditional Indian dress, and taper candles to last through the Apocalypse.

The most awesome thing I got was a huge transparent hanging of Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. It was missing a hanging rod so it was all lonely in the As Is bin for $10. I took it home, removed the other hanging rod, and made it a curtain for my bed. It sections of the living room and my 'bedroom' somewhat, and also kicks all sorts of eclectic geeky decoration arse.

[Cat bought Dr. House's lamp.]

We are doing our first loads of laundry since we moved into the complex. The laundry room is all futuristic with cards you put money on and keypads and displays.

I think I've had too many strawberries.

writing, firefly
