Today was nice. Hung out with Ryan again. We went to the park, lay on the grass and read for some hours - I almost finished The Gunslinger. Got ice cream from the ice cream man.
Ran into Lauren and Alex at the grocery store. They invited us to a party tomorrow night, but I don't know if we are going to go. We probably will. I'll be in a happy shiny mood after karate and feel ready to deal with anything.
[I got two really cute peasant blouses at Target. They accentuate certain of my assets.]
Came back to my house and watched [what else? I'm creating monsters] Firefly. We watched War Stories with commentary [Alan and Nathan], The Message with commentary [Alan and Jewel], and Our Mrs. Reynolds. I am now absolutely and officially in love with Alan Tudyk and Wash, alike as they happen to be, and only dimly remember a time when all he was to me was Steve The Pirate. :::hearts::: Captain Tightpants is all well and good and tightly pantsed, but when funny starts to equal sexy there is no going back. [He's pretty sexy anyway.]
Speaking of the Cap'n, Nathan Fillion stopped by the boards this evening and left a hilarious rant about a guy trying to rip him off at a comic book store [with a Serenity comic no less] - a call to arms of sorts. He even signed it Captain.
Wouldn't a smart business man ask me to sign an issue and sell me one at a fair price? Wouldn't that fetch a prettier penny than ripping me off for one issue? Congratulations, dude! You are now on the Browncoat Shitlist.
Never have I tried to wield power in this way, but if being Malcolm Reynolds has taught me anything, it's to follow my over-developed sense of vengeance. BOYCOTT WARP ONE COMICS! If you are in the neighborhood, drop by to tell "the Buttress" that Browncoats don't take shit from anyone.
