Minor Updateiness
It's snowing this morning in Waterloo. Not heavily. Just snowing.
I was supposed to go in to Jay's office to help with some bookkeeping this morning, but the little one is not feeling well. He was up in the night with a fever (102.3, taken under the arm) and even after some Tylenol and some water, he didn't want to lie down. So I sat on the couch in the living room snuggling him on my lap under the soft glow of the Christmas lights in the window for about an hour. Then I took him up to bed and laid down with him. I'm not sure when he fell asleep, but I was awake for at least another hour. This morning, he's still warm, but not as bad as in the night, and he's acting very snuggly. So I called the babysitter and cancelled for this morning.
They're doing some work on the transformer boxes in our neighborhood, so I have an intermittent background chorus of truck engines, back-up beeping, and the drilling noises.
