Scout's gone. She'd been in chronic renal failure for a while (we've known about it for a year, and have been treating it at home), and her tiny little body just started seriously giving up this past week. Once it was clear that she was in pain and not getting better, we decided to euthanize her today.
M has a longer, better post up about it.
Scout was really my first pet as an adult (even though technically she wasn't mine for a while, since she was M's cat and we didn't live together at the time -- she was always my cat), but she had a relatively long life, and a good one. I'll miss her.
