Early birthday present!
For the past few years I've had an eMac, and - much as I've loved it - it's old and rickety and slow, and I've needed something new(er) for a long time...
So, as Darcy will be away on my birthday (a little over a week away), I got my present early! I am now the owner of a Mac Mini and a wide black monitor and all in all it's all very shiny and wonderful. Youtube vids will play properly and fannish vids are big and gorgeous. And (because Apple is a marvel) Darcy could basically just hook up the two machines and transfer everything. Every file, every bookmark - everything is exactly the same, except faster and bigger and better. This is definitely one of the Best Presents Ever!

ETA: Knew there were things I was forgetting!
1) Watched Prometheus last night. It was... pretty much exactly like the Honest Trailer (major spoilers), but I'm happy to have seen it all the same. 'Twas very well made, even if it didn't make a lick of sense.
2) Watched Merlin tonight, which was Merlin and good entertainment. I'm not sure what the episode was called, but it COULD have been subtitled 'The Army of Shirtless Men'. It's not the reason I watch, but it's nice all the same. *g* Oh and I ADORED [Spoiler I guess]
Mordred. His ambiguity *really* worked for me, as did the actor.
