Just by the way, for anyone disappointed with Mark's review of Lovers Walk, here's a link to Arbitrar of Quality's
review. (Same deal: Unspoiled first time viewer, a ton of rot-13 in the comments etc. for those who weren't around at the time. But, uh, AOQ's take on things was... different to Mark's. *g*)
Cause...Lovers Walk is pretty low on the devastation scale for the show. And he's had some weirdly disproportional reactions before. Joss is know for teh angsting, so I think there's some skewiness in perception going on.
Loved the Arbitrar of Quality review. Thanks for linking! :)

You might be right. He knows what Joss is like, so I guess he's constantly curled up in a worried ball, expecting people to die and HORRIBLE things to happen... And he's kinda excitable ANYWAY. I mean, he's got the same sort of attitude for LotR which is just weirding me out, as Tolkien is as far from Joss as you can get...
ETA: He has pre-Traumatic Joss Syndrome?
Loved the Arbitrar of Quality review. Thanks for linking! :)
AOQ is delightful. And had the most surprising opinions - but always interesting. :)

ETA: Oooh, it makes sense of everything else too. With Moffat, he goes 'EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE CLEVER AND COMPLICATED OH NOES WHAT IS GOING ON I CAN'T WORK IT OUT!!!!' and with LotR he's going 'OMG EVERYTHING IS EPIC AND EVERYTHING IS THE FOUNDATION OF ALL FANTASY THAT COMES AFTER HOW SHALL I DEAL???'
His tagline is 'You're not prepared' - but he is. And that's the problem. :)
