So, the Children of Earth chapter. Not surprisingly this is wall-to-wall angst, although it's all quite subdued. For those not familiar with Children of Earth, this is by far the best description I can think of:
'There are things worse than walls. Terrible... and beautiful. If we look at them for too long they will burn right through us. Truths we

After a long time of resisting "My Immortal" (I just wasn't ready to read a story with Buffy paired with anyone but Spike) I finally started reading it two days ago - and I haven't been able to stop. "My Immortal" was perfect in every way.
*blushes, then dances* THANK YOU! ♥
Honestly, Jack as The Immortal is inspired writing and fits him so perfectly
Doesn't it just? Which is why I HAD to write it...
and I loved how seamlessly you fit the two verses together.
It was a labour of love, it really was. Esp because things just began fitting together as if it had all been planned.
It made perfect sense that Buffy's rebound guy would be Jack Harkness, and you wrote it in such a way that (for the first time EVER) I was totally on board with Buffy being in a relationship with someone else.
*beams* This. They are exactly what each other needs at that moment in time - yet it only work because they're temporary. I, too, have problems with Buffy paired with anyone else, but these two just blew me away. (Esp because they later are able to not just accept that they've moved on, but be *happy* for each other. ::draws hearts around them and their fairy tale::
Once I finished "My Immortal" there was no way I wasn't going to read the sequel. And it has more than lived up to my expectations!
\o/
But then I read this chapter - and it has completely blown me away. So heartbreakingly good! My heart just broke into a million pieces and now I'm a snivelling mess in front of my iPad screen. Oh my poor Jack! :(
Thank you again - and oh, this chapter. It was, in some ways, easy to write, because I knew exactly how it'd go, and yet all the pain and the heartbreak, and the fact that no one could help him... the fairy tale all broken and torn. (But Buffy still understood. Oh Jack.)
Anyway, I just wanted you to know how much I've adored both stories (you've made my Spuffy heart very happy!) before I go on to read the final chapter. :)
I really, seriously, can't begin to explain how much you've brightened my day. *hugs you tightly* And yeah, it was always going to end up Spuffy. Hope you like the final part. ♥ ♥ ♥
