Firstly then thanks for all the lovely comments - I shall try my best to get to them, honest.
Secondly, then one of the things I love most about LJ is the way discussions spread outward. I bring you two posts related to 'The problems with Ten becoming Eleven' - partly inspired by my post, partly by Maia's:
Character Transition and Living Heroes by peroxidepirate - the post itself is mostly questions (always a good thing), but the first comment is my thoughts almost exactly! :)
And then there is this post by sensiblecat: The Divided Self - Thoughts on Ten's Character, and how he became Eleven which is very interesting.
Thirdly, then I got a Christmas card from calturner. Thank you lots, dear! ♥
Fourthly - fic. Alex fic, but with a twist... See the_redjay has her own AU 'verse with her own OC Timelady (called Roda, or Redjay) and she asked if she could borrow Alex... to which I course said OMG YES! So for any Alex fans, who are curious to see him in a 'verse one millimeter to the left, go read 'Guileless Child': Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 (the last, and final, chapter coming soon I believe). I'm all a-squee over this, naturally, and seeing someone else write my character is three thousand shades of awesome. *flails* (Warning: A fair bit of violence in the first part.)
Fiftly: Everyone's better except The Cherub who's still hot and coughing a LOT. She's still pretty with it though, so I'm trying not to worry too much.
