one of those hipsters then, ironic bowtie and all.

LOL! I guess the Tardis sort of is the fixed-gear bike of spaceships.

Lovely little story. Donna is my all-time fave, and I like that 11 gave her a choice. I don't think 10 would have ever done that. I'm not totally convinced that 11 would either, but I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for the sake of closure :D

I've seen him described as a hipster various places, so I thought it'd be fun to throw that in there. (Donna wouldn't approve!)

Lovely little story.
Thank you! :) (It's been eating my head for... months now.)

I ♥ Donna to infinity, and then Maia inspired me...

Ah but Eleven is all sneaky and manipulative. ;)

He's all sneaky and manipulative for sure. I love him, but he's totally doing it to feel better about his choice. He really does think he knows better. It's that flaw that makes him human (as it were!) It's a timelord version of a big plate of chocolate chip cookies.

Why yes, I have been thinking about Something Blue. I think the Doctor and Willow have a lot in common. I wonder if anyone has written crossover fic? I've seen a few, but not involving Willow!

Hmmm, yes and no. I do believe he's also learning to let people make their own choices (see 'Amy's Choice' f.ex.) and I think he's coming to understand how painful it is to have your choice taken away from you ("I don't want to go.") But he stacks the odds in favour of the choice he wants her to make. ;)

*ponders this* I think *Ten* had a lot in common with Willow (hello Mr control freak!), but I'm not sure about Eleven. He strikes me as more of a Giles type. *g*

LOL! Yeah, he is learning; which is why I love him. But he's always gonna be the guy who stacks the deck, isn't he?

::ponders:: I see your point re: 10/ Willow and 11/Giles. OTOH Giles could be pretty darn ruthless

He's the Doctor. He wants to make people *better*! :)

The problem with these comparisons [in the Doctor's case] is that he's so old...
