So, before the episode aired, my thoughts were pretty much the same as promethia_tenk’s, in doctoreleven’s Official Squee Reaction Post ( Read more... )

I pretty much have nothing to say except FLAIL FLAIL FLAIL I LOVE THIS EPISODE SO HARD EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, which is hardly constructive.

So here! Have a .gif!

Actually, I will say this, though, too: I have enjoyed Doctor Who since I first started watching it, and some of the episodes have really moved me and some have made me flail with glee. But I think this season is the one that has totally captured my heart in every way--I am passionate about this show now. I don't know if it's Moffat's writing or if it's Eleven or Amy or what, but YES. THIS SHOW. YES.

That was pretty much my initial response too, and it took me a few days to get beyond that and actually *write* something. (Which then again descended into flail and love... *g*)

Oh I LOVE that .gif! Here, have one back! :)

It's strange, because I've loved this show for years now, but there is something about this season that's pushing buttons that I didn't know needed pushing, if that makes sense. Just - THIS SHOW. ABSOLUTELY.

I've been meaning to watch it again since the first time, but now I am definitely doing it tonight. Because this post just reminded me how much I love it.

Immediately after I watched I was kind of...stunned, and I wandered into a reaction post on one of my friends' journals, and I said, "Is it just me, or was that episode really, really good?" Because I thought it wasn't quite possible that it really was as good as it seemed to be. But it appears the consensus was that it really is that good! Yay!

Aw! I love this .gif, too!

It really is amazing to me how much this season is doing it for me.

I've watched it three times (so far) and it really is that good! :D

(It's brilliant having kids! "Mum - can we watch Doctor Who again?" "Of course you can, darling!")

I think that's one of the things I really love about the show - the fact that it's something I can share with them. And it makes them think, which is always a good thing. :)

OMG. Yes! I've been trying to come up with why this season is so amazing, and it's because, somehow, it's found something I want that no other show has ever provided. It's something like . . . luminousness.

Oh that's a lovely word. Yes. Luminousness. (I can hear Eleven say it!) Or maybe it's just that it's a fairy tale, and every other show I('ve) love(d) has always deliberately stepped outside that box. (Not that there's anything wrong with that. But I think I needed a fairy tale...)
