To all readers of 'My Immortal' - the next part is *thisclose* to being finished, but I won't be able to post until next week... Tomorrow is Miss M's 11th birthday, and Friday night she's having a birthday-party-sleepover (why yes, we are INSANE!), so I won't have any time for polishing the last corners etc. It's another 'FitB' type story, but this time it's LONG and it deals with The Year That Never Was - what exactly happened to Buffy & co? And yes, Buffy and Jack will both be there, and you'll find out who made it out of the alley alive etc.
One reason it's taken so long is that it just kept growing (it's over ten thousand words!) and also it was *the* most awkward story I have ever written. I'm not even sure why, because I love the concept and I knew what was going to happen - it just refused to turn into prose. But I am VERY nearly there now, mostly thanks to my *incredible* beta. (How do people manage without?) The sequel proper should be a lot easier, I sincerely hope! *crosses fingers*
Not entirely sure why I'm writing this to be honest, I think that maybe I'm just worried that no one will be interested. (Or won't like it because it's weird. Because it is.) Do all writers feel like that?
Also I want to write, and I have to do housework instead. And there is always SO MUCH of it! It never stops! ::grumbles::
writing,
my immortal
